About us

The story of I+E BERLIN MARKET RESEARCH GMBH begins in 1994.

Barbara Götz founded a fieldwork agency in Berlin Kreuzberg which she led for the following five years, managing to garner a formidable reputation in the market after a short start-up phase.

The success of the first fieldwork agency and growing expertise led to the establishment of a new studio in the West of Berlin in 1999. Barbara Götz and the Interview and Exploration Julia Otte GmbH merged into the joint I + E Interview and Exploration Berlin GmbH.

The popular market research studio in the historic Bikini building, boasting a view of the Berlin Zoo as well as the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, was run at this location for eight gratifying years. The move to the current location at Potsdamer Platz followed in 2007.

This new location, combining the old historic centre of the city as well as a place which the Berlin Wall divided impressionably in east and west, now houses our current state-of-the-art 650 square meter studio, situated in the midst of a plethora of newly awakened, architecturally diverse buildings in the ever changing heart of Berlin.

Since the end of 2010, we are called I + E BERLIN MARKET RESEARCH GMBH. We currently coordinate roughly 500 qualitative market research projects throughout Germany in the areas of health care, trend research and B2B / B2C annually.

Nationwide field management

With more than 15 years of experience in qualitative market research, I + E BERLIN offers a broad range of services and has specialised in the organisation and implementation of market research projects throughout Germany. Due to our long-standing and trusting relationships with our partners, we are able to coordinate your projects smoothly in all urban centres in Germany, in accordance with our usual quality standards.

Be it health care or trend research studies, complex workshops or ethnographic interviews, our moderators possess the necessary expertise in all current methods and interview techniques.

All of our moderators are academics (partly with a background in medical education in the field of health care), and remain well versed in current developments by means of constant communication and exchange with medical professionals and further training. All our interviewers and moderators are professionally trained on a regular basis in order to retain our rigorous quality standard.

In-house recruitment

Serious recruitment is only possible through a deep understanding of the respective target group. For this reason, we have divided our recruitment into health care and trend research departments. Our experienced project managers are at your disposal from the very beginning of the planning phase of your project and will provide you with a realistic assessment of the markets.
