Shortly after graduating with a degree in business management in the early 1990s, Barbara Götz moved to Berlin, where she set up her first company in the area of market and social research in Kreuzberg. In 1999, she founded I+E Interview and Exploration Berlin GmbH – now I+E BERLIN MARKET RESEARCH GMBH. Two decades later, she is still known for her energy and wealth of ideas: Privately an ambitious equestrian with a significant green thumb (that garden!), Barbara is also a true expert on the best retreats and destinations for an extensive outing in Berlin and its surroundings. With her Bavarian esprit and an excellent network within the industry, she constantly challenges herself with projects that others would gladly shy away from. It would be her pleasure to draft you a proposal.
Recruitment & Trend Research, Consumer Goods
Following his stays abroad in Chicago and Shanghai, where he had worked not only as a journalist, the desire for a second university degree led Marco to Berlin; this time to become a sound engineer. Since 2011, he pours his passion and nighttime hours into his work as label manager, record producer and DJ for a Deep House & Techno Label in Berlin. Marco spends his daytime with I+E Research and manages recruitment for trend research and consumer goods studies. Driven by his neverending curiosity and keen eye for creative people, he manages to nail down even extremely hard-to-find urban target groups and easily inspires them to participate in our research. The little spare time Marco has, he spends studying and practicing multiple Yoga techniques like Hatha, Bikram, Yin, Vinyasa and Ashtanga. In fact, it is safe to say that Marco has transcended the necessity of sleep or rest and thus has reached a state of yogic equilibrium.
Technical Supervisor & Service Manager
Franz Einerhand has been responsible for all things technical at I+E Berlin since 2000. He will gladly answer all of your questions regarding your day at our studio, the catering or any queries you might have as to the technical setup. Project Management, Health Care
The studied sociologist (and genuine Berliner) joined our team at I+E Berlin in early 2015. Hailing from a background in project management in the fields of social research and public relations, she proved to be nothing less than a true project MacGyver at I+E Berlin: No project is too complicated, no target demographic too rare, no technical setup too daring. Contrary to some of our colleagues and clients’ assumptions that her office must sport a camp bed, the well-informed know: Ms. Bornemann does have a private life. In summertime you will most likely find her on her bike at a remote lake in Brandenburg.
Grown up in the Ruhr area and in Bielefeld the city, which allegedly does not exist, Nicole Wanat and her cat moved to Berlin to study media psychology. After successfully completing her studies she moderates at I + E since 2015. She has already led numerous individual explorations and group discussions with her cheerful and winning nature, both in the pharmaceutical and consumer sectors. With a delicious piece of cake, you can discuss everything exactly with her. After work, she likes to meet friends in a typical little Berlin (corner) pub with a cultured glass of beer. Her cat bravely endures Nicole trying to teach herself how to play the keyboard with the help of YouTube videos.
Andreas Hüffer has been an integral part of the I+E Berlin team since the 1990s. After graduating with a degree in linguistics and communication science, he completed further training in psychotherapy and Balint-Group-Moderation at a university hospital for forensic psychiatry. Almost 20 years later there is hardly a medical indication he has not worked with. From widespread afflictions to rare diseases, he will not only moderate your interviews, but is able to reveal hidden insights based on his vast experience from the hundreds of studies he has conducted. A passionate moderator, Andreas Hüffer loves people and exchange. Feel free to see for yourself and strike up a conversation about basketball or the history of archery. Our service team will go ahead and chill a beer for you in anticipation.
Project Management & Recruitment
For a quarter of a century, Silke Voigtmann has worked in qualitative market research, which, by now, provides her with much more than just her ‘bread and butter’. During this time, Silke has mastered a variety of positions and projects, and thus brings an experiential as well as professional expertise to the table that is simply priceless. Born and raised in the arguably picturesque small-town called Radebeul, West Berlin kept calling – a call that Silke happily accepted and that secured her a front row seat for the German reunification / fall of the Berlin Wall only two years later. Her profound relationship with market research, which already started during her communication studies, was only put on hold for a three-year adventure as an accompanying crew member of Cirque du Soleil. Now that Silke finally has returned, Madame Tussaud’s may potentially represent the one and only opportunity to keep Silke in one place for good.
Head of Recruitment, Health Care
René Lewin discovered his passion for market research while completing a degree in psychology. Joining I+E Berlin as moderator in 1999, he has served as our head of recruitment in the health care department for more than 10 years now. Every morning, depending on the blessings of public transport, he makes the more or less arduous journey from his home of choice in Brandenburg to Potsdamer Platz. An almanac incarnate when it comes to the German health care landscape, he is more than happy to discuss your project’s feasibility or assist you in identifying your target demographic.
Head of Recruitment, Consumer Goods
Lina Steffens has been active in the field of market research since 2004. After the successful completion of her vocational training as a social and market researcher in Hamburg, she joined I+E Berlin in 2011, bringing with her ample experience in the field. Since 2013, she has served as our head of recruitment in the department of consumer goods. With a keen perception and an astonishingly accurate sense for the market, she will gladly discuss your project’s feasibility with you. A successful DJane in the buzzing nightlife of Berlin, no one is better versed in the trends of the capital and the target groups bustling about within.
Project Management, Health Care
Tina Staiger may be our youngest project manager but nevertheless she has become an indispensable member of our I+E family in no time. As a trained real estate agent, Tina can handle any situation with charm and skill. An undeniable asset to any study from hair care testing to medical research, Tina has a sharp sense for recruitment as well as sensitivity toward research participants and customers alike. In fact, she manages projects with the same ease she puts her shoes and smile on in the morning. Her keen sense of style is moreover emphasized by her professional attitude and pleasant demeanor. To cut a long story short – Tina: Our elegant and energetic ray of sunshine.
Project Management & Moderator
A self-proclaimed language afficionada, Pony has joined our team as a project manager and moderator alike. She completed her BA in socio-linguistics as well as her MA in social and cultural anthropology at Freie Universität Berlin. Both degrees have prepared her well to work with a diversity of customers and professionals. Her previous engagement in an interdisciplinary research project at Freie Universität and Charité from 2015 to 2017 has sensitized Pony toward the medical research context. Her more recent experiences with our clients and respondents, ultimately, have sparked and continuously strengthened Pony’s passion for qualitative market research. After work and together with her cat, Pony stretches away any worries in her yin yoga practice. And, quite frankly, who wouldn’t like to replace ‘downward facing dog’ with ‘downward facing kitty’…?
